Is it really just the shirt sewn into a bag? Where does that packaging fabric weight? And what’s the shipping costs exact weight for shipping a shirt?

We were curious to see how much a finished shirt would weigh. We went to our local thrift store and found a few t-shirts that were still in the original packaging.
We took them home and took them to the kitchen scale. And the weights recorded. The weight of the t-shirts ranged from 3.6 oz. to 4.5 oz.

Long sleeved t-shirts and Hoodie’s base weight
The base weight of a long-sleeved t-shirt and hoodie is around 4oz per square yard. For example: if you order 2 yards of fabric, it will be cut into 4 pieces of 1/2yd each.
So your base weight would be 8oz/yd. This means that you can get up to 16oz of fabric out of just 2 yds. Of course, you’ll need more fabric depending on what design you want to print onto them.
